Since it's late summer, all the weeds are growing...and there are nearly 5 acres of them. Since I became a certified Master Gardener three years ago, I am MUCH better at identifying the weeds...but it didn't motivate me much to get rid of them!
Ok - so much for the weed saga -here's what else about lizzer: I live here with my smart husband Charlie, and my stupid dalmatian, Jolly. Since I retired 4 years ago from what I call "my other life" as a civilian Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Army, I have just kind of reverted - no more suits, speeches or long airplane flights to army posts all over the U.S. Now it's sweats and levis and boots and tennis shoes - most of the time. It is a nice change, but until I got hooked up to the Internet, it was pretty quiet around here. (I did keep house a LOT better, though - ha, ha.)

Fancy baking, gardening (NOT weeding), music (I once worked for Capitol Records in Hollywood in yet another life), and from time to time - dog training and writing. I did plenty of writing when I worked, so I have slacked off on that... and messing around with investments. I also enjoy another kind of investing - but it does not pay back - I've discovered slot machines! But I guess my biggest interest is in other people - that's why I have gotten 'hooked' on my favorite link - shown below.
